Sculpture by the Sea 6 to 23 March IT’S BACK BABY! After a hiatus in 2025, Sculpture by the Sea in Cottesloe returns for beachy-arty magic. Seventy artists from all over the world have work on display this year. Bring your best selfie pose for epic IG posts!
Perth Design Week 19 to 26 March, A public festival celebrating good design. Check out the free events like panel discussions and exhibitions. Perfect for curious people!

New murals- check out Fremantle Piazza for new murals by Borello II (Portuguese artist) using recycled rubbish like car bumpers, as well as local artists Art by Row and Ketones6000! The whole precinct is undergoing a revamp and we love it!
Asian Women’s World Cup, Perth matches on 1-7 March. See the amazing Matildas represent Australia here in Perth, home town of Sam Kerr! (Yes, this is not strictly “art” news but without creating a new segment, those Matildas make soccer look like a fine art!! 🤣⚽)

RTRFM Neon Picnic 15 March, 11-5 pm Hyde Park FREE! FAMILY FRIENDLY! The vibes are high at this annual event. Live music is the jam and it’s supported by arts & crafts, zine making, a licensed bar, and more. RTRFM will also be live-broadcasting from the picnic.
Sounds of Bunuru 2026: March 21, James Miller Oval. South Perth Check out R&B performer Becca Hatch, winner of the Triple J Unearthed. She is supported by other electropop and hip-hop artists. There’s also face painting and food trucks. Yum!
Scarborough Beach Weekender 2026: March 28–29, Scarborough Amphitheatre What? Xavier Rudd? Oh yes!! Check out the full line up over this two day festival for all the summer tunes. Is there any better place for a music festival than watching the sunset on the west coast? Food trucks and drinks available too.
Xpress Magazine 40th Anniversary, 18 March, Astor Theatre. Do you remember the 90s when the Xpress Magazine was THE place to get all the music and movie news? Celebrate their 40th birthday with live performances from legends of the WA music industry including Kev Temperly (Eskimo Joe).
Noongar Singing Community Choir, 26 March 7pm, City of Perth Library. Enjoy this unique performance in one of the world’s oldest living languages. Led by Gina Williams-Ghouse, the choir will move you. This event is free but you must register as space is limited.
Fremantle Arts Centre Sunday Music, Every Sunday in March. The final four concerts in this summer series are this month. Make the most of the chilled atmosphere of the arts centre with these free performances of local musicians.

Perth Pre Loved Market (North Perth Town Hall) March 1, 2026 8 AM – 12 PM Tickets are required for this because it’s so popular, they have to limit numbers! Designer clothes at recycled prices.
Perth Makers Market (Goolugatup Heathcote, Applecross): March 1, 2026 9.30AM to 3.30 PM In a spectacular setting overlooking the river, Perth Makers Market is home to all the clever people of Perth and their creations.
Summer X Salt (Trigg beachfront) 7 March & 21 March - final events for this season! These markets have a distinctive coastal atmosphere and not just from the location! Perth Upmarket (Winthrop Hall, UWA): March 15, 2026. Now in its 18th year Perth Upmarket at UWA is deluxe! So many stalls to see, treats to try, all in the calm university environment.
Markets at the Quay (Elizabeth Quay): March 14, 3-8 PM. A much younger market which packs a punch!! In the city and on the water AND at sunset. What a combination. Stall are on all sides of the Quay for you to wander and enjoy.
Barrack Square Markets (Barrack St Jetty) is Perth’s BIGGEST outdoor brunch club set around the spectacular Bell Tower and against the stunning backdrop of the Swan River.

Have you heard? Our Small Bar and Street Art Tour is having a little break! Don’t worry - there are still a few spots left to enjoy, before this tour takes a few months off and comes back bigger and better.

Canning Bridge Art Walk: Sunday 29th March 10am. Discover all the hidden art in the Canning Bridge precinct. Be honest… you’ve probably driven past here a thousand times but not noticed the murals and design! We can fix that and show you all the art and fill you in on process, artist insights and local stories. Suitable for all ages and route is accessible. Oh and did we mention, the tour includes a coffee and sweet treat at Praline Cafe PLUS a small drink at Clancy’s Fish Pub at the end? Yay!
