FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) 

+ What is your cancellation Policy including COVID-19 cancellations?

If a cancellation is made by the tour participant more than 7 days prior to the selected tour date a full refund will be available to the tour participant.

If a cancellation is made by the tour participant between 24 hours and 7 days prior to the selected tour date a 50% refund will be offered, or the ticket can be transferred over to another tour on a different date.

If a cancellation is made by the tour participant within 24 hours of the selected tour date there will be no refund or change of tour date offered.

If the tour must be canceled due to COVID-19 related restrictions such as lockdowns or border closures, the tour participant will be offered a change of tour date, a voucher for 100% of the tour value, or an 85% refund.

All interstate and international tour participants must comply with all Government (Federal and State) requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access Oh Hey WA’s tours. This includes testing and vaccination requirements. Where the customer does not comply, and cancels or is unable to access the operator's premises, event or service, cancellations will be subject to the standard cancellation policy above.

If a booking must be canceled by the tour participant due to them contracting COVID-19 or having to isolate as they are a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case the tour participant must communicate the cancellation in writing to Oh Hey WA and they will be offered a change of date or a credit for the full booking amount. Oh Hey WA reserves the right to request proof of positive case or isolation requirements.

If a booking must be canceled by Oh Hey WA due to staff members contracting COVID-19 or having to isolate as they are a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case and the tour no longer being able to take place, the tour participant will be offered a change of date or a credit for the full booking amount

+ Do you require proof of vaccination?

Here at Oh Hey WA we value inclusivity and believe everyone should have the opportunity to engage in our tours and discover all of the amazing things to see and stories to hear around Perth city. We must however comply with current Government regulations, and do what we can to keep our staff and customers safe and comfortable while on tours. Please refer to our Vaccination Policy to see which tours do and do not currently require proof of vaccination.

+ Do you have gift vouchers?

Yes! Our gift vouchers can be purchased for a specific tour or for a set amount - what a great present idea for a loved one! All vouchers are valid for three (3) years. You can purchase our gift vouchers here.

+ How far is it? How long are the tours? Is there much walking?

Our tours typically run for 2-3 hours covering between 1.5-4km. Refer to specific tour description for details. Perth is a very flat city so it is easy strolling for the entirety of the tour. All tours can be made accessible for wheelchairs, prams etc.

Heels are not recommended!

+ Are the tours wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all tours are always, or can be made, wheelchair friendly. Please let us know upon booking if your group includes a person in a wheelchair so we can make any changes if necessary

+ What should I wear?

Comfy walking shoes are a must! A hat is strongly recommended in the hotter months. Other than that you can wear whatever you fancy. If you are joining us for a bar tour, men must wear enclosed shoes to be allowed into the bars.

+ Can I wear heels?

Heels are not recommended for any tours as all of them involve a non-trivial amount of walking

+ What should I bring?

We recommend you bring a bottle of water, and a camera to capture some special moments! Apart from that just come equipped with a good attitude and be ready to have fun

Please bring a face mask and proof of vaccination if required. Please refer to our Vaccination Policy to see which tours do and do not currently require proof of vaccination.

+ Do you have private tours?

Yes, we do private tours and fully custom tours. Typically the minimum group size is 6 people, but please contact us to confirm

+ What happens if it’s raining?

Tours will go ahead even if it’s raining, so please bring an umbrella and wear weather-appropriate clothing

+ Do I need to bring a printed copy of my ticket?

No, please don't print your ticket, the digital version on your phone is fine

+ Is there an age restriction for the walking tours?

For all non-bar tours, there is no age restriction. For bar tours, all guests must be over 18 years of age

+ I have elderly people with me, will they be able to come with us?

Yes, the pace is leisurely and the terrain in Perth is mostly flat. All our tours can be made wheelchair accessible, please let us know in advance if this is a requirement

+ Can I change the time of a tour? Can I book a tour outside the times listed on the website?

Yes, we are very flexible, please just contact us as early as possible and we will try to accommodate your changes

+ Are children allowed? Can I bring my kids?

Yes, children are allowed on all tours that do not visit bars. all guests on tours that do visit bars need to be 18+

+ I’m a Perth local, will I enjoy the tour?

Yes! Most of our guests are locals and all of them learn something new about their home city. We always get glowing reviews from Perth locals, so if you're a local and aren't sure whether you'll enjoy it, we can confidently say that you will

+ Do you do tours of other areas in Western Australia?

Our tours are limited to Perth City and Northbridge at the moment. If you are looking for tours in Fremantle, we highly recommend our friends at Fremantle Tours

+ Do you do conference tours?

Yes, we can pick you up your hotel and customise the tour to meet your needs. Please contact us and we can arrange the rest

+ Do you have a senior’s discount?

Yes, all senior citizens are eligible for 15% off with our discount code seniors15

+ Where should I go after the tour?

After the walking tour, we like to grab a drink with everyone at one of our favourite bars in the city. Sit down and join us, continue the great conversations, and get ideas for where to head next

+ Can I do more than one tour in a day?

Absolutely! The tours are designed to run at different times so if you just can’t get enough of Oh Hey WA you can do all available tours in one day

+ How big can my group be?

For all publicly-bookable tours, the group size is limited to 10. For private bookings, there is no limit on group sizes. If you have a group of more that 10 people, please contact us and we will make arrangements to accommodate you

+ Do I need to book in advance? Can I just arrive on the day without a booking?

We require bookings to be made online prior to the tour. Bookings can be made up to 1 hour before the tour starts. If you want to make a last minute booking please message or call us and we will do our best to accommodate you

+ How do I find you at the meeting point?

Your guide will be waiting at the meeting point wearing a bright blue Oh Hey WA t-shirt and a big smile! They will approach you enthusiastically when you arrive

+ Who will be the tour guide?

We have a wonderful team of local, friendly and enthusiastic guides who are excited to share the city with you! It’s a bit of a lucky dip as you never know who you’re going to get, but we guarantee you will love them no matter what! If you have a request for a specific guide please let us know at the time of booking.

+ Can you pick me up from my hotel?

Hotel pickups can be arranged for private tours, but we don't offer hotel pickups for publicly-bookable tours

+ What language will the tour be in?

All our tours are conducted in English. Our tour guides are locals of Perth with English as their first language
